Unitonic™ today announced the availability of a special low-priced configuration of Aurora, their powerful software synth for Pro Tools TDM. Called Aurora/PT Standard, this new configuration offers support for the HD DSP chips found on Pro Tools|HD® systems at a suggested retail price of US$399. [Aurora's full-featured version has been renamed Aurora/PT Prime. This configuration supports instances running on both HD and Accel DSP chips found on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems.]
Aurora/PT Standard is a true TDM synth plug-in, which means every HD DSP chip on a Pro Tools|HD® or HD® Accel systems can run a separate instance of the synth for near-zero latency recording and playback in a multi-track Session. The PT Standard version also comes with Aurora’s acclaimed preset library, with patches that range from earth-shaking basses and big, modular-style sounds to expressive acoustic/synth hybrids with rich, natural tones.
Aurora/PT Standard and Aurora/PT Prime are both available for download from the Unitonic website or from any authorized Pro Tools dealer. Currently, Aurora supports Digidesign® Pro Tools|HD® and Pro Tools|HD® Accel systems running on the Macintosh platform only. An update supporting the Windows XP platform is scheduled for release in 2006.
System Requirements
Mac-based Digidesign Pro Tools TDM system with HD® or HD® Accel hardware, running Pro Tools 6.0 or newer software. A PACE iLok USB Smart Key (purchased separately) and an iLok.com account are also required for licensing.
