Cakewalk today announces that a major update for Project5 to be available in Q1, 2007. The Project5 update will be provided as a free download for registered Project5 users. In addition, the company has lowered the estimated street price of Project5 Version 2 to $199 USD—effective August 1st, 2006.
The free update will enhance Project5’s current capabilities by adding new features that have been requested by the Project5 community, along with new innovations.
This free update is the beginning of a sustained period of development for Project5. Over the next year, you will see a new attitude and more frequent updates to Project5 as Cakewalk gives the music community more power and control in how they create and perform music.

Project5 Version 2 has an estimated street price of $199 USD (effective 8/1/06) and is available at select music retailers worldwide.
