The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) is delighted to announce that ICMP vocal tutor Becky Jones otherwise known as SaintSaviour, will be headlining her first solo gig open to the public on Thursday, 26th August at London’s 3 Olaf Street.
As lead singer for Groove Armada, SaintSaviour has been busy with the band through the summer, taking the stage on the Groove Armada tour for their album ‘Black Light’, as well as covering ground at all the major music festivals this year, most recently at this weekend’s V Festival in Cheltenham. Becky has been attracting fans such as Steve Lamacq who described her as; ‘My Glasto highlight this year, mesmerising!‘ Edith Bowman who commented that she has ‘Phenomenal stage presence!’ and Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys who was ‘very impressed’!
Support on the night comes from recently graduated ICMP Professional Diploma in Songwriting students Elena Tonra and Robbie Boyd, who are both making a name for themselves on the London music scene. Sponsored by Columbia Records, the Professional Diploma in Songwriting is a one-year highly practical course that covers the skills and knowledge required to develop raw songwriting talent into professional careers.
