Institute students perform on X Factor

Three students from London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance took to the stage for the hit ITV1 show ‘The X Factor’ this past weekend to perform with the latest round of finalists.  Tom Pearson (Alumni, drum), Henry Appleby (Degree, drum) and Mark Yeoman (Degree, guitar) played with Louis Walsh’s act Mary Byrne and Cheryl Cole’s act Katie Waissel as they performed two songs each for the show’s ‘Rock Week’ theme.

Student Henry Appleby said: The gig was amazing!  Everyone was really nice and the show has a very relaxed atmosphere which surprised me because of its size.  It was a great opportunity that I was able to take advantage of because of the Institute and I am so happy to have taken part.’
