Institute band ‘The Vacations’ to play Bandwidth event for Internet Week Europe 2011

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is delighted to announce that student band, ‘The Vacations’ have been chosen to represent the school at the brand new Bandwidth competition, a ‘first of its kind’ live music event with a digital twist, on the 9thof November at East London’s famous gig venue Cargo.

‘The Vacations’ will compete with two other bands selected to perform at the event. The
winners, decided solely on the increase of ‘likes’ on their Facebook page, will receive £1,000 – worth of Latitude Digital Marketing products specifically designed to increase their online presence, plus a Premium Pro Plus account from SoundCloud.

Latitude Digital Marketing, working in partnership with the Institute, Soundcloud and data centre provider Interxion, have launched Bandwidth as part of the 5-day Internet Week Europe 2011 festival in November. Internet Week is a five-day festival of events designed to celebrate Europe’s thriving internet industry and community. It began in New York City in 2008 and came to Europe for the first time in 2010, with a five-day calendar of web-focused events taking place throughout London.

The Institute is proud to have been asked to partner the event and, naturally, confident that ‘The Vacations’ will impress on the night!
