During the month of December, various bands from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance will be taking part in the December Sessions at The O2, London.
With over 100 up and coming acts of all genres playing live over 20 nights, the December Sessions is a unique and totally free music and entertainment experience, giving music fans of all ages the opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow for no charge at the world’s most popular music venue.
Kicking off on December 3rd and finishing on December 22nd, each night will see five bands take to a specially constructed stage in London Piazza at The O2.
On Tuesday 6th December the Institute took over the December Sessions for the evening with seven acts playing on the stage – footage from the night can be seen on the December Sessions YouTube channel. Three more Institute acts will also get to play before headline acts begin on the arena stage. On Friday 9th December The Institute’s Phil Baxter will be at 4.00pm before Coldplay ,on Sunday 11th December The Founding Fathers are on at 6.00pm before Status Quo and Silent Smiles perform at 4.00pm on Saturday 17th before The Manic Street Preachers.
The O2 December Sessions give all these new acts the opportunity to perform to a huge audience at London’s most famous entertainment venue. This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, which the Institute is proud to have been able to offer to its talented students!
